Horoscope and astrological planetary aspects of the India Plane Crash, Flight IX812, in Mangalore, India, May 2010 - Developing Story
The plane crashed at about 06h30m local (GMT-5h30m) on 22 May 2010. It appears that the airport is located on top of a cliff and that the jet crashed on an attempted landing, overrunning the runway, falling down this cliff and catching fire. The exact location is 12°57'41"N 74°53'24"E. The Air India Express Flight 812 had departed from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) at 1h35m local (GMT+4) on 22 May 2010 at location 25°15'10"N 55°21'22"E.
ATTENTION READERS...!
Before downloading the astrological charts, readers are advised that I have now found, in what are considered "serious" publications, various times for the accident, as well as varied times also for the taking-off of the plane in Dubai. As for the other articles of this blog, I'll complete when I can be certain figures are right. Do take account of this. From Wikipedia, it is reported that this jet was a Boeing 737-800. The pilot, Mr. Zlatko Glusica, was very experienced, with more than 10,000 hours and knew the airport well, having already made 19 landings there. According to his FaceBook profile, he celebrated his birthday on 16 May 2010. Various news sources report he was either 53 or 55. According to this official source, he was born 16 May 1955 in Bela Crkva (Former Yugoslavia). His time of birth is unknown. He was married with three children.
158 passengers are dead. There are reports of 8 survivors, but precise indications are lacking at the moment. One or some of them, jumped out of the aircraft, or were ejected from it, when it started breaking up before splitting on the edge of the cliff and plunging in the valley. The list of survivors has been published on NDTV. A list of passengers has been published in the newspaper The Hindu. Other lists, by category, have been published by Air India Express (click here: crew, survivors, total list of passengers). It may be useful to save them for future reference, as such lists rarely stay long on Internet pages. |
There is confusion on reports that the runway is reportedly short and the bad weather conditions may have been a factor. The airport is well known for being a "table top" airport, which creates optical illusions for pilots and make landing vey tricky. (See my astrology article on Libya plane crash for references on spatial disorientation). It seems that the aircraft touched down beyond the touchdown zone and overshot the runway when, for some reason, the plane either did not brake enough or a tyre burst. It fell from the cliff at the end of the runway. Some reports indicated that there was a light drizzle but not out of ordinary. The BBC has a good coverage and videos of the plane crash. |
The aircraft first flight was on 20 December, 2007, at Renton Airport, WA, USA, under the registration N1787B. The plane was delivered to Air India Express on 15 January 2008 and it obtained its above registration on 21 January 2008. It is not yet known when the plane performed its first commercial flight.
As mentioned in one of my previous posts, the astrological planetary aspects for 2010 are not good for planes and the traveling industry. This plane crash horoscope is a case in point. So far, for the 5 months of 2010, the toll for victims of aviation crashes is almost double the 10 year average.
The geocentric chart shows many traditionally malefic astrological aspects. The heavy planets Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune are all placed in difficult positions. Neptune features strongly being dignified at the MidHeaven, Sun has just risen. Chiron continues to be conjunct to Neptune. The Saturn Uranus opposition is closing in, Jupiter is approaching Uranus.
The heliocentric chart is also very heavily afflicted, with Mars having just past the opposition to Uranus and coming soon to the conjunction of Saturn. Saturn, for its part, is applying to the square of Pluto. Again, as in previous tragedies, the minor planets seem to be placed in exact or almost exact aspects.
